Passed away on July 19, 2015
Preceded in death by wife, Cora, parents and siblings. He will be missed by his children, Elizabeth Kremer (Gary), Dianne (Dick) Lawson, Steven Kobeska (Karen), and Roger Kobeska; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Born at home in Glenwood City, Wisconsin, he escaped farm life by joining the Merchant Marine. The experiences he had during WWII influenced his entire life, and he continued his association with the Merchant Marine organization lobbying for projects. He finished college and graduate school as an adult with 4 children. He became an elementary teacher and principal for the White Bear School System where he was esteemed by his colleagues. Upon retirement, he continued to pursue hunting, traveling with Cora and time at the cabin. Time of Remembrance Friday (July 24, 2015) 11:00 AM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul. Interment Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Lung Association.
