Harold Wynn, 87, of Ocilla, Georgia died Friday, July 17, 2015, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Ocilla Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Couey and the Rev. Rob Dowdle officiating. Interment will follow in Pinetta Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the service hour in the sanctuary on Sunday.
Mr. Wynn was born May 18, 1928, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Lee Jefferson & Elnora Boykin Wynn. A 1945 graduate of Ocilla High School, Mr. Wynn served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a former superintendent for Ross of Georgia and worked for the past 25 years with Wynn Brothers Construction. He was a Past Master of Ocilla Lodge #134 F.&A.M., a 32° Scottish Rite, and a Shriner. Mr. Wynn loved working in his flowers but enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren most of all. He was a member of Ocilla Baptist Church and the Steadfast Seekers Sunday school class.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bobbie Nell Adamson Wynn of Ocilla; his two sons and daughters-in-law: Keith & Paige Wynn and Kelly & Sheila Wynn, all of Ocilla; his grandchildren: Candice & Kyle Fletcher, Clae Wynn, Kaylee Wynn, Karsen Wynn, Chris Wynn, and Kellen Wynn; two great-grandchildren: Dayne Fletcher and Kayde Gay; and a sister, Martiel Moore of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lorie Wynn and his wife, Martha Jacque Wynn.
