Obituary

Thomas Asquith, 91, of Franklin died July 16 at Norwood Hospital. He was the husband of the late Edith (Cook) Asquith for over 57 years prior to her death in 2004.
Born in Fall River, November 5, 1923, the son of the late Thomas and Bertha (Franklin) Asquith, Mr. Asquith had formerly lived in Weston for many years.
He was a graduate of Mount Hermon School and Brown University.
Mr. Asquith was the Director of Employment for Carrier Air Conditioning Company and later the Vice President and Corporate Secretary for Simplex Wire and Cable and its subsidiary companies.
In 1969 he founded the Executive Search firm Asquith & Jackson Associates Inc., based in Weston, which he sold and retired from in 1984.
He was a past member of the Weston Finance Committee.
Mr. Asquith was the Vice –President of Finance of the Fort Myers, Florida Unitarian Church and was very involved with the development of its new facility. Mr. Asquith served as board Chairman of two homeowners’ associations in communities in which he lived.
He was also a member of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce and a former Eagle Scout.
He and his late wife Edith loved to garden and travel, and both served in church and community choral groups including the Southwest Florida Symphony Chorus.
He is survived by his daughter April Asquith of Franklin and his son Kerry Asquith and his wife Jillian and their two children Alyssa and Kyle of Harvard, Ma.
He was the father of the late Aura Lee Asquith and brother of the late Ruth Chase and Franklin Asquith.
Private interment will be in Linwood Cemetery in Weston.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be sent to Mount Hermon School, 1 Lamplighter Way, Mount Hermon, MA 01345.Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin.
