Marisa Louisa Kochanski, age 89, of Medford passed away April 28th at the St. Joseph Nursing Home of Boston, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Kochanski. Born in Naples, Italy she was the daughter of the late Giovanna (DiGiovanni) and Emilio Palumbo.
Mrs. Kochanski was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a Medford resident for over fifty years. She enjoyed taking care of her family and also enjoyed traveling and knitting.It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Clement Church Development Fund 71 Warner St. Somerville, MA 02144.
Mrs. Kochanski is survived by her children; Ann Schiavone of New York, Janet Suchorski of East Bridgewater, Henry Kochanski of Maryland, Ida O´Leary of Billerica and Eva Kochanski of Cambridge. She is also survived by nine loving grandchildren and four loving great grandchildren. She is further survived by her dear friend Salvatore LaRosa.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Monday, at 10 am followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St. Somerville, at 11 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
