Betty Booker Elkins, 87, of Morrow, GA, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Henry Medical Center, Stockbridge, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Rev. Steve Waldorf officiating. Visitation one hour before the funeral services.
Mrs. Elkins was born August 9, 1917, in Thomasville, GA to the late Samuel E. and Lucy Thurman Booker and was the widow of Gordon Woodrow Elkins. She grew up in Fitzgerald, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1934 and lived most of her life in the Atlanta area. Mrs. Elkins was a former employee of Davison’s/Macy’s Department Store. She was a member of Inman Park United Methodist Church and the Triangle Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Elkins is survived by her son: Wayne Elkins of Jonesboro; daughter: Betty Jane McDonald of Morrow; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
