Sonya Denise Storey Tolar, 42, of Tifton passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015. Her funeral service will be held Monday, July 20, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Todd Garner and Rev. Denise Percival officiating. Mrs. Tolar will be laid to rest at Union Grove Church of God Cemetery in Eldorado. The family will receive friends Monday, July 20, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Nick Dillard, William Ferrell, Bryson Chaney, Ed Durden, Jacob Lipsey and Matthew Webb will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Tolar was born June 13, 1973 in Tifton, the daughter of Peggy Lewis Storey of Tifton and the late Benjamin “Ben” Franklin Storey, who died February 15, 2014. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Eric Storey. She was employed at Burlen Corporation and attended Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado. She had a degree in accounting.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Tolar is survived by her husband, Clay Tolar of Tifton; two sons, Zach Tolar and Chandler Keene, both of Tifton; one daughter, Claire Tolar of Tifton; and three sisters, Carla Michelle Lipsey of Tifton, Nicole Storey of London, England and Timmi Yvonne Storey of North Carolina.
