Melissa Kay Hogan, 39, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Anderson Memorial Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Ronald Parks officiating.
Melissa was born December 23, 1975, in Fitzgerald, to the late Thomas “T.H.” Harris Hogan and Debbie Fish. She attended Wiregrass Technical College and was a former employee of Wal Mart in Fitzgerald, Georgia & O’Cain, Inc. in Mulberry, Florida.
She is survived by her step-mother: Willean "Candy" Hogan of Fitzgerald; one goddaughter: Kathryn McDaniel of Georgia; one son: Michael Bailie Hubbard of Fitzgerald; three sister: Kim Prinsen & Eli of Lakeland, Florida, Crystal Odom & Keith of Fitzgerald and Bernice Rowell of Alabama; two brothers: Dennis Fish, Jr. of Lakeland, Florida and William Rowell of Fitzgerald; one uncle: Bobby Hogan of Fitzgerald; three aunts: Betty Hogan, Shirley Hogan and Kathy McDaniel, all of Fitzgerald; five nieces: Haley Prinsen of Lakeland, Florida, Tosha Dowdy of Fitzgerald, Samantha McCurdy of Panama City, Florida, Kimberly Avera of Fitzgerald and Miranda Odom of Fitzgerald; two nephews: Kent Hickman, Jr. of Lakeland, Florida and Daniel Horne of Fitzgerald and one great-uncle: Phillip O’Cain of Mulberry, Florida.
