Ernestine Theresa Hockaday, 87, of Randall Street, Providence, died Friday, July 10, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Medford and Annie Mae Jackson.
She was born and raised in Piladelphia, Pennsylvannia. She moved to Providence in 1985.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Philadelphia for over 50 years and had served as Past President.
Those who cherish and honor her memory are her four children: Medford, Cleours, Jr., Deborah and Lynette, and son-in-law, Raymond. She was the sister of: Marie, Priscilla, Elizabeth, Savella, and Elease. She was the sister in law of Lovenica Duereson and Dolly Jackson, grandmother of six grandsons, a granddaughter, and aunt of hosts of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held in Philadelphia at a later date.
Almighty God has called his loving daughter to Eternal Rest.....
