Richard J. Rezendes, age 78, of Taunton, formerly of Swansea, passed away on July 13, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Swansea, he was the son of the late Antone and Mary (Jacome) Rezendes. Richard was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a fan of all New England sports and a huge fan of NASCAR. He enjoyed playing softball, gardening, fishing and eating at local diners.
Richard is survived by his children Daniel Rezendes (wife Dana) of Taunton, Kathy Collins (husband Bill) of Taunton and Donna Nickerson of Fall River; siblings William Rezendes (wife Nancy) of Swansea and Marlene Bombardier of Warren, RI; grandchildren Jesse Nickerson, Dakota & Riley Silva, Remy Guinazzo and Stephanie Rezendes. He was the former husband of Barbara Hathaway of Taunton. He was predeceased by his brother Everett Rezendes.
