NEW BEDFORD -- Georgette M. Maciel, 90, of 35 Sol E Mar Lane, South Dartmouth, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of William "Bill" Maciel.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late John and Orise Comeau. She lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Maciel enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting booties and blankets for the babies in the family and taking photos of her family through the years.
Survivors include three daughters, Eileen Lawrence and her husband, Eldridge, of Henderson, Nev., Janice Berche and her husband, Roger, of Westport, and Linda Collasius and her husband, John, of Florida; a son, George W. Maciel and his wife, Brenda, of South Dartmouth; a sister, Dorothy Doucette of North Dartmouth; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Juliet Arruda, Orise Rollins and Loretta Lewis.
Private services were held at Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, County Street.
