Obituary

Lucille Marsilli, a resident of Needham for over fifty years died on Tuesday April 19th at her home in Needham. Born in Scanton PA, the daughter of the late Edward and Pearl James, She Married her late husband Thomas whom she met at East Stroudsburg Teachers College. They were married for 57 years. Mrs. Marsilli was very involved with the Methodist Church of Needham for over 50 years and belonged to many local civic organizations. In 1960 Lucille became active in real estate and she and her husband opened their own company in Needham in 1980 until their retirement. She and tom were founing members of the Dance Club “Mrs Twiddles” for those who loved to dance the jitterbug and dance to Glenn Miller. Lucille was known for her great sense of humor and loved wintering in Florida and their cape home since 1961.
She is survived by her two daughters, Joan Heckel, a teacher and resident of Needham and Jean Broadway a teacher in Yardley PA. She was the dear Grandmother of Jason Perkins and his wife Helen of Bristol PA, Angel Perkins of Yardley PA, Michelle and her husband David Lepore of West Roxbury and Wendy and her husband Chris Anderson of Natick. Also survived by her great grandchildren Mario and Isabella Lepore of West Roxbury, C.J. Anderson of Natick also Max and Ty Perkins of Bristol. Funeral Services were held on Friday April 22 at 11:00 AM at the Carter Memorial United Methodist, Church 800 Highland Ave, Needham. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham.
