Betty J. Gooding, 80, of Anderson died on July 11, 2015 at St. Vincent's Hospice in Indianapolis following a brief illness.
She was born on October 5, 1934 in Elwood to Kenneth and Jean (Campbell) Wooldridge.
She was a bookkeeper at Ball State University for 16 years and retired in 1997. She was a member of New Life Nazarene Church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She loved camping, traveling, spending time with her family, reading, cooking and watching sports.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Gooding of Anderson whom she married on August 3, 1952 in Anderson; 3 Children, Rick (Amy Cave) Gooding of Anderson, Becky (Walter Morrill) Gooding of Bloomington, and Roger (Wendy) Gooding of Anderson; a brother, Jerry (Cory) Wooldridge of Wabash; 6 grandchildren, Taylor (Courtney) Cole of Indianapolis, Megan Cole of Chesterfield, Brynn Gooding, Laurynn Gooding, and Jordon Gooding all of Anderson, and Toni Morrill of Bradenton, FL; 1 great-grandchild, Sabrina Morrill of Bradenton, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kathryn D. Coffman in 2011; 2 sisters, Louise Scott and Judy Farmer; and a brother, Danny Wooldridge.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00am at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Al Dayton and Jack Duckworth officiating. The burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
