M. Eunice (Spinney) Hoban, 78, of Berlin, died on Friday, July 10th at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Westborough. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Philip Hoban of Berlin.
Eunice was born in Acton, daughter of the late Seward S. Spinney Sr. and Mary (Laurence) Spinney. At the age of 12 she moved to Hudson where she attended local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Hudson High School. She spent 38 plus years as a bookkeeper for the F.W. Woolworth Co. in Framingham until her retirement. She has resided in Berlin since 1960.
Eunice enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to touring the states with her husband Philip. She enjoyed caring for her family and cherished the times she shared with her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren. She was full of life and always brought great joy to those around her. She will truly be missed.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Mark S. Andre and his wife Patricia of Clinton; two sisters, Rose Sawyer and her husband Lawrence “Skip”of Berlin, Rita Morris and her husband John of Canada; her brother, Seward S. “Skip” Spinney Jr. and his wife Marie of Berlin and her sister-in-law, June B. Perillo of Hudson. She is also survived by her four loving grandchildren, Nicole Andre, Timothy James Andre, Steven Michael Andre, Jennifer Lynn Andre; her seven adoring great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was looking forward to the birth of her 8th great grandchild.
A funeral service and celebration of Eunice’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-¬Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, July 14th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
