Carl J. Daniel
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, July 10, 2015, Mr. Carl “Danny” J. Daniel, 83, loving husband of 36 years to Patricia Rigsby Daniel.
Mr. Daniel was a lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County High School and served in the United States Navy for 4 years. Mr. Daniel retired from the Savannah River Site after 43 years.
Family members include: sons: Mike Daniel (Elaine) of Evans, Mark Daniel (Kathy) of Martinez, David Daniel of Augusta, daughters: Kathleen Daniel of Martinez, Diane Smalley Coulston (Wayne) of Appling, grandchildren: Christy Daniel Presgrove, Natalie Daniel Gay, Michael Daniel, April Daniel, Matthew Daniel, Mallory Daniel, Patrick Daniel, Joey Smalley, Travis Smalley, and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Daniel and Mary Peacock Cartledge and his brother, Harry B. Arthur, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Lynn Prather officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
