EAST TAUNTON – Rose (Andrade) Lecuyer, wife of the late Eugene P. Lecuyer, died at Morton Hospital on July 10, 2015.
She was 93.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Pita) Andrade.
Rose was raised in Taunton and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Educated in Taunton schools, she was later employed by the former Ansonia Mills and Synthetic Yarns for many years.
She retired from Princess House in 1993.
A communicant of Holy Family Church, Rose loved to cook, especially for her family and friends; and will be remembered by all for her compassionate and nurturing manner.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanine Lecuyer and her fiancé William Hyde of East Taunton; three brothers, Manuel Andrade and his wife Lillian of Raynham, Daniel Andrade and his wife Patricia of Raynham and Charles Andrade of East Taunton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Henry and John Andrade, Mary Texeira, Sadie DePonte and Virginia Rebello.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, July 14th at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 13th from 5 to 8 p.m.
