Nancy Karle, 71, longtime Prosser resident, entered into rest on July 4, 2015 at her home in Yakima.
She was born on March 27, 1944 in Spokane, Washington to Bill and June (Fleischman) Schreiber. She was raised and educated in Spokane until the family moved to Prosser in 1959. Nancy graduated from Prosser High School with the class of 1964.
Nancy worked as a lab technician for Twin City Foods from 1978 to 1993 and also drove school bus for the Prosser School District from 1975-1992 and was a stroke judge for the Prosser Swim team.
She was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served as organist, pianist and choir director for many years. She also taught CRE and piano lessons at her home.
She is survived by her children and their mates, Tony (Gloria) Karle of Las Vegas, Pinky (Debbie) Karle of Yakima and Susie (Tim) Karle of Bothell, WA; five grandchildren, Michael, Jenifer, Melissa, Shannon and Joshua; and twelve great-grandchildren, Kara, Austin, Dana, McKenzie, Logan, Moriah, Kameron, Victoria, Elizabeth, Mathew, Isiah and Isabella. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Karle; her mother, June Schreiber in 1989; and her grandparents.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10th. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life will follow in Smith Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prevent Homeless Pets, a passion Nancy shared with her daughter Pinky. Contributions may be sent to Prosser Funeral Home (P.O.
