LACONIA – Simone E. LaPointe, 95, of 25 Union Ave, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Laconia.
She was born on April 24, 1920 in Laconia, the daughter of the late Albini and Anysie (Valliere) DuBois. Simone worked for a number of years as a Payroll Clerk and Typist for Northern Heating and Plumbing Company. She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia and was also a member of Les Dames Canado’s since 1950. Simone also wintered for a few years with her husband, Lucien, in Florida. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends at Sunrise Towers.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley A. Peverly of Tilton, one grandson, Scott LaPointe of Portsmouth and one granddaughter, Dayna LaPointe of Portsmouth, one daughter-in-law, Priscilla LaPointe of Raymond, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lucien W. LaPointe in 1990, one son, Richard G. LaPointe in 2008 and her son-in-law, Foster Peverly in 2014.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at St. Andre Bessette Parish - Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia. Burial will follow in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia.
