Antonio C. Evangelista, 66, of Hyde Park, formerly of Franklin, died July 7 in the Stanley Tippet House in Needham.
Born in Santa Maria del Molise, Italy, August 25, 1948, the son of Domenica P. (Carlucci) Evangelista of Franklin and the late Michael N. Evangelista, Mr. Evangelista came to Canada in 1955 and then moved to Franklin in 1967 where he lived until moving to Hyde Park 15 years ago.
He attended schools in Canada and was a 1967 graduate of Franklin High School. Mr. Evangelista also was a graduate of Boston College in 1978 with a B.S. in Business and also graduated from Northeastern University Class of 1992 with a B.S. in Engineering.
Mr. Evangelista had been a real estate broker for Worldwide Realty for the past 10 years. He had previously worked for several other Boston real estate companies.
He was a member of the National Association of Realtors.
Tony enjoyed making wine, and eating good food. He also liked playing cards, reading the sports pages of the Boston Herald and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughter Juliana Evangelista of New York City.
He is also survived by his siblings, Nino Evangelista of Woonsocket, Irma Pagnotti of Whitefield, New Hampshire, Rita Evangelista of Walpole and Nola Evangelista of Franklin.
He was the brother of the late Mario Evangelista.
He also is survived by his dear companion Helen Kondi of Weston.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, July 11 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
