Content “Connie” L. (Layne) O’Brien, 82, of Medway, died July 6 in the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham. She was the wife of the late William W. O’Brien who died in 2009.
Born in Framingham August 12, 1932, the daughter of the late William A. and Mary L. (Taylor) Layne, Mrs. O’Brien was raised and had lived in Holliston for many years prior to moving to Medway in 1964.
Connie was a graduate of Elmira College in New York.
She had been a secretary for Clark, Cutler & McDermott Company in Franklin for many years before retiring.
Connie was an active member of the Medway Senior Center where she also served as librarian. She loved to read, spend time with her family and friends and always had a love of horses.
She had a particular love for her cat TJ.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey F.Grenon and his wife Sandy of Medway and Lois L. Arthur and her husband Michael of Milford.
She was the sister of the late Suzanne L. Romanazzi.
Connie is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey F. Grenon, Jr. and Jennifer L. Richard and her husband Bobby and her great-grandchildren, Savana and Kayliana.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 11 in Christ Episcopal Church, 14 School Street, Medway at 10:00a.m.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Medway.
