Minnie Mae Black Galarza, 31, of Fitzgerald passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Chuck Taylor officiating. Mrs. Galarza with be laid to rest at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Chris Turner, Sergio Rodriguez, Daniel Dorminey, Antonio Collier, Malaquias Galarza, Fidel Galarza and Miguel Collier will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Galarza was born August 16, 1983 in Tifton, the daughter of Bonnie Howell Horn of Mystic and the late Marshall Black, Sr. She was a temporary employee at American Blanching Company in Fitzgerald.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Galarza is survived by her husband, Ricardo Galarza of Tifton; her step-fathers, G. W. Horn of Mystic and Allen Ross Branch of Fitzgerald; one son, Carlos Torres of Scottsboro, Alabama; two daughters, Elizabeth Torres and Erica Torres, both of Scottsboro, Alabama; two brothers, Marshall Black, Jr. of Moultrie and David Allen Black of Daytona, Florida; four sisters, Brenda Marie Cabanas and Lorena Weeks, both of Fitzgerald, Debbie Black and Susan Blaire, both of Ellijay.
