Obituary

WORCESTER-Vasiliki (Kotrotsios) Kostas, 73 of 44 Blossom Street, died Tuesday, April 12th in UMass Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Her husband Athanasios Kostas died in 1999. She leaves 2 daughters, Noula Kostas of Worcester and Klari Esmaieli of Woodstock, CT, 2 sons Theodore A. Kostas of Worcester and Timothy Kostas of Greece, 2 sisters, Aphrodite Avgeris, and Anastasia Roubi both of Greece, 2 brothers Theodore Kotrotsios of Fairhaven and Charles Kotrotsios of Maine, 3 grandchildren, Kasandra and Matthew Esmaieli and Alexis Kostas and many nieces and nephews.

She was born in Stavraki, Ioannina, Greece the daughter of Dimosthenis and Fotini (Mantzios) Kotrotsios and came here in 1958. Mrs. Kostas was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She enjoyed traditional Greek cooking, dancing and traveling.

The funeral is Thursday, April 14th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, April 13th from 6:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
