Eleanor V. (Tassi) Genest, 98, of Haverhill, MA passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Penacook Place in Haverhill, MA. She was born on December 9, 1916 in Quincy, MA a daughter of the late Tito and Mary (Fedeli) Tassi. She was a resident of Haverhill for ten years previously living in Derry, NH for more than 30 years. Eleanor was a seamstress for many years making various garments including wedding dresses. She was a very creative person and loved sewing and knitting.
She is survived by two daughters, Joanna Summerlin of Auburn, NH and Eleanor Brown of Gardner, MA; six grandchildren, Rebecca LeFave, Donna Couture, Sherry Duchaine, Kenneth Brown, Ginger Giambelluca and William Giambelluca; nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Irma Tassi-Flibotte of Derry and Mary Tassi-Ingoglia of Long Island, NY.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium assisted the family with arrangements.
