Reggio, A. Nicholas of Wellesley passed away peacefully on June 29, 2015. Born February 6, 1925, he was the son of Claire and Andre N. Reggio. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth, and devoted father to Ellena and husband Dan of Durango, CO, Jenny and husband Rick of Noank, CT, Nick and wife Jane of Millville, MA, Becca and husband Phil of Morrisville, VT, and Chris and wife Marie of Millis, MA. He was the loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his family, adventures and a good joke.
Nic served honorably during World War II in the U.S. Marine Corps. His service took him to the Pacific Theater and Iwo Jima. He is survived by his sister Claire and pre-deceased by siblings Louise, Andre, Erdna, and Peter.
Visitation hours will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington Street (Rt.16), Wellesley. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, July 10, 2015, at St. Paul Church, 502 Washington Street, Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth, RI or to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
