Charlton
Charles Wayne Farr, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in his home.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Charles W. and Mary L. (Tubman) Farr.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Muriel B.(Davis) Farr, their children; Vicki A. Jensen, Susan C. Farr, and Craig W. Farr and his wife Donna, 2 grandsons, Conner and Dylan and their family pup “Shannon”, he also leaves a sister, Jeanne Saalman and brother-in-law, Winthrop Ray as well as nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret “ Buddy” Ray and a brother-in-law, Howard Saalman.
He was educated in the Charlton School System and graduated from Charlton High School in 1951.
Charlie was a Korean War Veteran and served in the U. S. Army, 23rd Infantry Regiment, and also served in the National Guard.
He spent most of his life traveling the highways as an owner/operator truck driver throughout the country, a tour bus driver and enjoyed his motor home.
He was an avid fan of NASCAR, Red Sox and the Patriots. He also had a great passion for fishing, especially the ocean, Lake Ontario and Quabbin with his boats.
In his younger years he loved snowmobiling and working on antiques engines.
He was a member of the Oxford Lodge AF & AM, Melha Shriners and 2nd (Indian Head) Division Association.
At his request there are no calling hours or services.
