Joseph R. O’Neil, age 58, passed away on June 27, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on Oct 5, 1956 in Holyoke to the late John F. and Mary (Donoghue) O’Neil. Joe is an Army Veteran enlisting after high school. He then worked for many years for the City of Chicopee Parks Department. He was a Boston Bruins and Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching their games. He leaves three brothers John R. O’Neil and his wife Joyce, Roger R. O’Neil and Robert O’Neil all of Chicopee. He also leaves one niece Shannon O’Neil and one nephew Sean O’Neil. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday July 2, 2015 at 10 AM from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St., Chicopee with a 11 AM Mass at Holy Name Parish in the Assumption Church. Burial will follow with military honors in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
