Sandra Delane Dowdy Holton, 58, of Tifton passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Gary Cadwell and Elder Bernice R. Reese officiating. Mrs. Holton will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Johnny Tawzer, John Pratt, Justin Tucker, Jeff Hilton, Derrick Roberson and Darrick Hooks, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Holton was born September 13, 1956 in Tift County, the daughter of Winfred Lunie Dowdy and Latrelle Nagles, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two nieces, Paula Pendarvis and Nicole Dowdy. She was a homemaker and member of Brookfield Baptist Church.
Mrs. Holton is survived by her husband, Donnie Holton of Tifton; one daughter, Misty Hooks of Tifton; one daughter by love, Michelle Tucker of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Winfred Sr. and Debbie Dowdy of Sycamore and Nathan and Judy Dowdy of Irwin County; three grandchildren, Trayana Dowdy, Allie Hooks and Darrick Hooks, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Liyah Hooks; two grandchildren by love, Devin and Justin Tucker; her nieces and nephews, Amanda and Raymond Poore, Wendy Coney, Jennifer and Luis Rodriguez and Winfred Dowdy, Jr.; and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.
