John L. Vieira, age 43, of Brockton, formerly of Braintree died June 25, 2015 at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. John was born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Manuel and Maria (Medeiros) Vieira. John was raised and educated in Cambridge schools. He enjoyed spending time with family, music, karaoke and the soap opera, Days of Our Lives.
John is survived by four sisters, Carmen Picanco and her husband Manny of Brookline, Fatima Narciso and her husband Joe of Brockton, Ines Vieira and her companion Carlos Martinez of Revere, Natalia Vieira of Haverhill; two brothers Jessie Vieira and his wife Manuela of Peabody and Manny Vieira of Brockton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday 5-9pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 8am for a funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
