Janet (Christie) Nelson, 79, of Morrison, TN, formerly of Londonderry, NH, passed Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Horizon Health Center in Manchester, TN. Mrs. Nelson was born in Stoneham, MA, a daughter of the late Richard C. and Frances E. (Milner) Christie, III. She had been employed as a registered nurse.
In addition to her parents, Janet was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Myles Nelson on June 23, 2015; and one son, Richard Nelson. She is survived by two daughters, C. Ivy Nelson-Groves and her husband Rick Groves of Renton, WA and Catherine (Dennis) Lowe of Morrison, TN; two grandchildren, Victoria (Matt) Armstrong and Elizabeth (David) Garrett; and four great grandchildren, Kaylee Conklin and Joshua, Jacob, and Matthew Garrett.
Calling hours were held concurrently with her husband’s on Tuesday, June 30th from 4 to 8 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. The burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
