Born on June 10, 1929, Terry spent her early years on a small farm in Swansea, Massachusetts then moved to New York City in 1935. She graduated with honors from Walton High School and continued to study at New York University where she worked at the School of Education. Later, Terry studied at Madame Janine’s School of French in Beirut, Lebanon, earned a Master Teacher Certificate from the Archdiocese of Boston and graduated from The Copley Business School. She had traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, many Caribbean countries, Europe, Britain, and the Middle East.
Memere primarily lived as a loving homemaker and brilliant partner for Pepere’s dynamic career. She volunteered as a Catholic American overseas, a religious education teacher, and an aide for retired priests, nuns and other religious people. In many other ways, she delivered expertise in various community affairs. Her patience with all individuals and her compassion for others needs always inspired everyone present.
