TAUNTON – Dorothy Borden (Reynolds) Gallego, wife of the late Frank J. Gallego, died at her Taunton home on June 24, 2015.
She was 83.
Born in Lakeville, she was the daughter of the late Gordon W. and Emma L. (Chace) Reynolds.
Dorothy was a 1954 graduate of Middleboro High School and a 1956 graduate of the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing.
She moved to Taunton in 1959.
A retired LPN, she was employed by Taunton State Hospital for over 27 years, before retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church, the Taunton Art Association and the Malty Club; and she was a dedicated volunteer at Morton Hospital and Our Daily Bread.
Survivors include a brother, Mark Reynolds of Weymouth; two sisters, Mildred L. Morgan of Florida and Helen Gilman of Jasper, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews, including Edward Sopel and his wife Deborah Brown of Lakeville.
She was also the sister of the late Alton, Timothy, Paul and Nancy Reynolds.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, June 27th at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
The family will be receiving visitors at the funeral home from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the services.
