Obituary

WEBSTER – Edward L. Kozlowski, 75, of 17 Granite Street, died Monday, April 11, in Hubbard Regional Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 50 years, Sylvia R. (Dudek) Kozlowski; a son, Alan and his wife Heidi Kozlowski of Santa Clara, CA; a sister, Dolores Kwasny of Yardley, PA; and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph L. Kozlowski, Jr., of Framingham.

He was born in Worcester and raised in Dudley, the son of Joseph L. and Wanda (Myskowski) Kozlowski, Sr. He moved to Webster when he married in 1955. He was a graduate of Bartlett High School, class of 1947.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Kozlowski worked for many years as a printer for the Webster Times. He then worked as a set up man at Imperial Spring Co. in Oxford before retiring in 2000.

He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and its Sacred Heart Society. He was a director of the Friends of Saint Joseph School Fund. He belonged to the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post 184, the Disabled American Veterans, and the 75th Air Depot Wing Association.

The funeral, with military honors, will be held Thursday, April 14, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, at the funeral home. Donations may be made to either the Friends of Saint Joseph School Fund, 53 Whitcomb Street, or to the Transitional Care Unit at Hubbard Regional Hospital, 340 Thompson Road, both in Webster, MA 01570.
