WAYLAND: Anne P. (McNulty) Wood, 72, died peacefully and comfortably surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Boston on January 29, 1943 the daughter of the late James J. McNulty, II and Margaret (Garrity) McNulty.
Anne is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Michael S. Wood of Wayland. Beloved mother of Stephanie A. Wood LaFond and her husband Mark LaFond of Sudbury and Elizabeth Wood Keller and her husband Ryan Keller of Concord. Cherished grandmother of Michael and Daniel LaFond and Anne Keller. Sister of James J. McNulty and his wife Marie McNulty of Falmouth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Anne has been a resident of Wayland for over 43 years and spent her formative years in Jamaica Plain and Roslindale. She graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain with the Class of 1960 and attended Boston State College. For several years she was the Administrative Assistant to James Moore, Attorney at Law in Weston and also the Administrative Assistant at Wellesley College before retiring. She loved to travel with her husband and family, playing bridge and reading. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of Charles River Country Club. In the late 1970’s, she was one of the founding ladies of the Friday Mel’s Breakfast Club. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
Visitations will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 9:00 am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 124 Cochituate Road (Rte 27), Wayland
Interment will follow in the Wood family lot in North Cemetery in Wayland.
