BEVERLY: Natalie B. “Nat” (Parker) Pierpont, 87, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at her home following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Clyde L. Pierpont, with whom she married in 1949 and had lived happily together until his passing in 1993.
Born in Schenectady, New York on December 18, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Wallace Parker and Viola (Jones) Dodge. She was a graduate of Marblehead High School class of 1944 and a Lab Technician School in Boston. She had resided in Beverly for the past sixty years.
Nat was employed for several family physicians in the North Shore area for many years. She loved to spend time at their cottage at Square Pond in Acton, Maine, where she and her family spent every summer since 1954. She was also an active member of the Second Congregational Church in Beverly.
She is survived by her son, David Pierpont and his wife, Wanda of Saco, ME; her two daughters, Linda Hermann and her husband, Doug of Yarmouth, ME and Sandra Girard and her husband, Scott of Beverly; nine grandchildren, Katrina Edwards, Nicole and Jesse Helms, Martha and Brian Rhodes, Emily Hermann and her fiancé, Omar Kingston, Katie and Jenny Pierpont and Lilly, Zack and Cassie Girard and four great-grandchildren, Kellan and Alaina Edwards, Cole Helms and Aiden Brooks. She was also predeceased by her longtime companion, Arnold “Bud” Palmer and step-father, George Dodge.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 12 noon. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, W. Peabody.
