Beverly L. McElroy, 71, of Bedford died Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Newark, New Jersey on September 22, 1933 she was the daughter of Charles and Alice (Dewey) Jenkins.
Mrs. McElroy lived in Wayne, NJ for over 20 years.
She was a loving wife and mother. Mrs. McElroy enjoyed, oil painting, gardening and bird watching.
Family members include: her devoted husband of 50 years James H. McElroy of Bedford, NH; 2 sons, Timothy McElroy of Dayton, OH and Neil McElroy of Manchester; 2 daughters Lorie McElroy of Westerly, RI and Jennifer Downing of Dayton, OH; 2 sisters Irene Hammerslough of Springfield, IL and Barbara Zilis of Jackson, NJ; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In Her Life: She is also survived by: her son-in-laws, Donald Sauvigne and Scott Downing; her daughter-in-law, Meghan McElroy; her brother-in-laws, Kenneth Morris, Arthur Bennett and Albin Zilis. She was predeceased by her two dear sisters Dorothea Morris and Shirley Bennett.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday April 12, 2005 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Burial was at the convenience of the family.
