Isabelle Thomas Traina, age 93, resident of the Jewish HealthCare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, died on Saturday, April 9, after a long illness.
Born March 18, 1912, in San Jose, California, daughter of George Thomas and Hattie Schussel Thomas, she married Frank I. Traina in 1932. He preceded her in death in 1973. Her sister Lillian Thomas Bonasera and brother George Thomas, Jr., are both deceased. She leaves a son, Richard P. Traina of Worcester, three surviving grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Moving to Worcester in 1999, she was a long-time resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, most recently of the Napa Valley. Mrs. Traina was an avid reader, cook, and gardener. She loved to care for and work with children and was committed to neighborhood and to community causes.
