CHARLTON – Clarence A. Montville, 77, of 49 Burlingame Road died Friday, April 8 in UMASS Memorial Hospital – Memorial Campus.
He leaves his wife of 50 years Teresa R. (Antul) Montville; two sons Brian P. Montville of Worcester and Henry J. Montville of Auburn; two daughters Michelle A. French of New York and Paulette M. Montville of Charlton; a brother Donald Montville of Brookfield; two sisters Marion Fulginiti of Albany, NY and Carlene Walker of Rutland; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester son of Alfred and Florence (Hurteau) Montville.
Mr. Montville was a painter for Crompton and Knowles for many years. He started the Capen Hill Nature Sanctuary. He was a member of Saint Joseph’s Church and of the Charlton Conservation Committee. He was also a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 13 at 11 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H Putnam Ext. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd. Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852 or to Capen Hill Nature Sanctuary, 56 Capen Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
