Mrs. Geraldine O. Marquis, 74, of Lake Wales, Fl., passed away on Monday April 4, 2005 at the Winter Haven Florida Hospital. She was born in Berlin, NH on April 18, 1930 the daughter of Adrian and Isabella (Murphy) O’Neill and had lived in Berlin until 11 years ago, when she and her husband moved to Florida. She was a retired bank manager. She was active in the Towerwood Fun Makers and Chorus, a member of the Council of Catholic Women, a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Wales.
Members of the family include her husband of 54 years Philip D. Marquis of Lake Wales, FL; 2 daughters Sharon Doble of Milan, NH and Sandy Marquis of Berlin, NH; 1 son Daniel Marquis of Owensboro, KY; 5 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 2 sisters Madeline Charest of West Hartford, CT and Mary Tumasz of Everett, MA; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Arthur “Red” O’Neill and Daniel O’Neill, a sister Mildred “Sally” Donnely and a niece Faith O’Neill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 9 at 11:00 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
