Carlos Mendieta, age 52, passed away April 7th following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Anne (Donahue). Born in Mexico City, Mexico he was the son of Jesus Antonio DeMendieta and Beatriz Alatorre.
Carlos was a Medford resident for over twenty years. He was a ramp worker for United Airlines for many years. He was devoted to his family and his church. He was a very active parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Medford. Carlos was a very charitable person who would often help the poor children of Mexico. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 1 Bridge St., Suite 103, Newton, MA 02458 or to the MA General Hospital, Cancer Fund, 55 Fruit St. Boston, MA 02114.
In addition to his beloved wife, Carlos is survived by his daughters, Laura Alberino and her husband Rick of Medford, Savanna Mendieta of Medford and Anita Mendieta of Arizona. He is also survived by his loving granchildren Samantha and David Alberino. He is further survived by his brothers, Enrique and Mauricio DeMendieta both of Mexico, Antonio Mendieta of Lowell, sisters, Mary Carmen DeMendieta of Acapulco and Beatriz Gonzalez of Mexico.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 118 High St. Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
