Westport – Frank D. Toohey, 95, of Westport died Friday, April 08, 2005 at home after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Florence M. (O’Neil) Toohey.
He was born in Fall River, son of the late Michael J. and Annie L. (Carroll) Toohey, and had been a Westport resident for the past 63 years. He was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Fall River in 1927 and a graduate of Boston University in 1931. Mr. Toohey was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport and recipient of the Marian Medal Award. He was a member and avid fundraiser for various civic and religious organizations.
He was vice president of sales and marketing for Time Recorder Company, Gardner, MA, executive vice president and general manager of O.W. Siebert Company, Gardner, MA, director of sales for Session Clark Company, CT, president of F.D. Toohey Associates in Westport, MA and W. Hartford, CT and owner of Toohey Real Estate Company, Westport for 20 years.
He is survived by 2 sons: Frank D. Toohey, Jr. of Bristol, RI and Michael J. Toohey of Saratoga Springs, NY; 3 daughters: Mary-Elizabeth Fitzgerald of Glenns Fall, NY, Denise F. Toohey of Westport and Caroline A. Cooper of Westport; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a brother of the late Carroll Toohey, John Toohey, Mary Dunn and Honore Toohey.

Funeral will be from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 4 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
