Barris of East Bridgewater April 4, 2005 Carl A. “Mala” Barris 92 years. Husband of Terry A. (Delaney) Barris. Father of George W. Barris and his wife Kathleen of East Bridgewater and Carl J. Barris of N. Waterboro, Maine. Grandfather of Lisa Dalto and Dina Danielson both of East Bridgewater and also survived by four great granddaughters. Brother of John P. Barris of Brockton and Marcella Williams of Cullowhee, NC.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish (formerly St. Colman) at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm.

Mr. Barris died Monday at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Joseph and Eva (Crancavage) Barris. He had been a resident of East Bridgewater for many years with the exception of the years 1970 to 1987 when he lived in Middleboro.
During WW II Mr. Barris served in the US Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Following his discharge as a Tech 4 he was the head cook at the Waldorf Cafeteria in Brockton. He had also worked for Tautkus Construction and was a bartender at the Village Café. In 1978 he retired from the Massachusetts Highway Department, Middleboro garage, after many years of service.
He enjoyed his gardens whether vegetable, flowers or bushes. Mr. Barris also enjoyed his trips to the Raynham Dog Track.
He was a life member of the Mitchell Memorial Club and VFW Post 2188 both in Middleboro. He was also a member of the Mallard Decoy Club of Brockton.
In addition to his wife of 59 years Terry A. (Delaney) Barris he is survived by 2 sons George W. Barris and his wife Kathleen of East Bridgewater and Carl J. Barris of N. Waterboro, Maine. Grandfather of Lisa Dalto and Dina Danielson both of East Bridgewater and also survived by four great granddaughters. He was the brother of John P. Barris of Brockton and Marcella Williams of Cullowhee, NC and the late Victor and George Barris.
He also leaves several nieces and nephews
