Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8pm.

Dorothy M. (Perry) Emord died Saturday evening at West Acres Nursing Home. Born in Brockton, daughter of the late Frank L. and Jessie E. (McCormick) Perry, she attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School. In 1985 she retired from the Brockton VA Medical Center where she had been employed for 20 years as a clerk in the Patient Funds Department. Previously she had worked at the former Intercity Transportation and New England Telephone Company. Mrs. Emord had been a longtime resident of Brockton and had also been a resident of Bridgewater for ten years before moving back to Brockton in 1999. She enjoyed reading and was a former member of the Bridgewater Seniors.
She is survived by one son Robert J. Emord Sr. and his wife Michelle of Bridgewater, three grandchildren, Jim, Jason and Lynn Emord, several nieces and nephews and two sister in laws Grace Perry of Brockton and Lois Emord of Rhode Island. She was the sister of the late Francis, Kenneth, and Robert Perry and Mary Hill.
