Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Mary A. (Dwyer) Jelley, age 83, a resident of Tewksbury for 17 years, died Friday, April 1, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.
She was the wife of the late John Jelley, who died February 16, 1995.

Born in Boston on June 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Howard) Dwyer.
Mrs. Jelley was raised in Allston and East Boston.
She attended East Boston schools.
Mrs. Jelley lived in the Allston section of Boston for 50 years until moving to the Carnation Drive Housing Community of Tewksbury in 1988.
She dedicated her life to caring for her family.
Mrs. Jelley enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles and playing bingo with her fellow residents at the Carnation Drive Housing Community.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Margaret A. “Midge” Byrne and her husband Paul and Judith M. Kramer all of Tewksbury; 2 sons; John J. “Jack” Jelley and his wife Jo-Ann (Bowman) of North Ft. Myers, FL and Stephen F. Jelley and his wife Eleonora (Mazariegos) of Somerville; 2 sisters; Anna Kemp of Tewksbury and Peggy Kuhn of Dracut; 4 brothers; Walter Dwyer and his wife Josephine of Revere, Edward Dwyer and his wife Roberta of Lowell, John Dwyer and his wife Marie of Wakefield and Albert Dwyer and his wife Rita of the Brighton section of Boston; 9 grandchildren; John and Michael Jelley, Karen King, Kelly Farias, Allison May, Kristen Kramer, Stephen J., Megan and Christopher Jelley; 12 great grandchildren; Kerry and Katy Jelley, Dylan and Shane King, Seana, Kevin and Dennis Jelley, Michaela, Paulie and Shannon Farias, Abby and Zachary May; also many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jelley was the sister of the late Eleanor Matturra, James and Robert Dwyer.
Calling hours Monday, April 4th from 4-8 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Funeral Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Tuesday, April 5th at 10 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 are requested.
