Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Spillane’s memory may be made to the Chapel of Our Savior, 475 Westgate Drive, Brockton, MA 02301.

Michael J. “Bunny” Spillane of Mashpee, formerly of Brockton, husband of Miriam A. (McCarthy) Spillane for 63 years, died Thursday at Tufts New England Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Holbrook, son of the late Edward J. and Sarah E. (Daley) Spillane, he was a lifelong resident of Brockton until moving to Mashpee in 2000. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1934.
Mr. Spillane, with his brothers, operated a family business in Whitman, MA for nearly four decades. An avid sports enthusiast, he was also a competitive professional boxer in the northeast area. He was a former member of the Howard, Elks and Jefferson Clubs, in the Brockton area. He was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Brockton and Christ The King Church in Mashpee.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Spillane is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Mona) Zander of Chicago, IL; three sons Michael W. Spillane of Brockton, Mark Spillane of Norton, and Geoffrey Spillane of Mashpee; a brother William Spillane of Port St. Lucie, FL; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Nora, Thomas, Edward, John and Katie Spillane.
Mr. Spillane’s funeral service will be held at 10am Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In addition, a memorial service will be held at a later date on Cape Cod.
