George Oliveira, age 92 of Somerset, passed away on June 23, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lucy (Alves) Oliveira and the son of the late Antone and Mary (Dias) Oliveira. Prior to retiring, George worked for Rondo Knit Mfg. Co as a Supervisor in the Sorting Room. He enjoyed listening to music, spending time with his family and vacationing in Florida.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Kim Allen (husband Robert) of Somerset; grandchildren: Nicholas and Kayla Allen; brother: Edward Oliveira of Somerset; goddaughters: Pamela, Paula, and Patricia Medeiros; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Theresa Lindo.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA on Friday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a mass of Christian burial in St. Thomas More Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Fall River.
