Mafalda A. “Miff” D’Attorre, 89, of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away on Monday, June 22nd, 2015 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, MA. She was born on January 13th, 1926 in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Battestina (Iannuccilli) D’Attorre.
Miff attended the Gilbert E. Hood Grammar School, was a graduate of Lawrence High School and then graduated from MacIntosh College. Miff worked at J. M. Fields as a Credit Manager in Salem, NH, for 30 years. She then worked as a Loan Interviewer at Raytheon for 22 years. Miff was an attendant of Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Ladies Sodality and of the St. Claire’s League. Miff was also a member of the St. Rita’s Sodality at Corpus Christi Parish. She loved to knit, do crossword puzzles, play solitaire and especially loved spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Miff is survived by her beloved sister Joanna D’Attorre of Methuen, MA.
She is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Thursday, June 25th, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 26th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA. Entombment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence, MA.
