Ashland: Sandra A. (Murphy) LaPointe, 69, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston.
She was born in Framingham on September 16, 1945 the daughter of the late Daniel Murphy and Virginia (Boyle) Martinelli. She was the step-daughter of the late Arnaldo Martinelli.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, George J. LaPointe, Jr. of Ashland. Devoted mother of Kim Marino of Venice, FL; Kelly Marino of Hopkinton and Jason Marino of Holliston. Step-mother of George J. LaPointe, III of Saco, ME; Tammy Gilbert of Hopkinton and Rob M. LaPointe of Medway. Beloved sister of Karen Perodeau of Natick and Nancy Martinelli of Framingham. Also survived by 14 cherished grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra spent her formative years in Framingham and was a graduate of Framingham High School. She had a long career in the field of Banking and retired as a Bank Manager for RTN Credit Union in Waltham. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family at the family residence on Lake Waushakum as well as wintering with her husband George in Sebastian, FL for the past several years. She was a devoted Patriots fan and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her and the many lives that she touched.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 9:00 am followed by her Mass of Christian Burial of 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherins Church, 99 Main St (Rte 27) Wayland.
Interment will follow in the LaPointe family lot in Lakeview Cemetery.
