WYNS - Jeanne P. Wyns, 71, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her Yulee, FL residence.
Mrs. Wyns was born December 13, 1943 in Waterville, ME and moved to Yulee two years ago from Rhode Island. She was a member of Living Waters World Outreach Center Church in Fernandina Beach, FL.
From humble Maine beginnings Jeanne became a world traveller and a highly sought after speaker. Her career involved: teaching at Zion Bible Institute, Living Waters Bible College, and Pentecostal Bible College; missionary to Zimbabwe, Africa; pastor's wife in three churches; author, preacher, conference speaker; director of Barnabas Ministries for 27 years; team leader/member teaching in numerous countries in Africa, Asia, and Central America; and most recently taught a class for the Berean School of the Bible; Jeanne also earned a Doctorate degree from Vision International University.
Along with her distinguished career Jeanne was a devoted wife to her husband David. A loving mother to her three children, their spouses and she really enjoyed all of her grandchildren. She was full of wisdom and grace. Giving sound advice when asked. A sweet, calm spirit that brought warmth and love to everyone who knew her.
Jeanne Wyns is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, David I. Wyns, Sr. of Yulee, FL; two sons and daughters in law, David I. and Michele Wyns. of RI and Jonathan and Tracey Wyns of PA; a daughter and son in law, Mary Wyns and Keith Cabral who live in RI; two brothers, Tom Blair (Rita) and Ralph Blair; a sister, Carol Farris (Earl); eight grandchildren, Barbara, Jonathan, James, Tristan, Jesse, Alyssa, Kristiana, Marissa ; and many nieces and nephews. Worldwide many "children" were touched by her life and call her "Mama" too.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Living Waters World Outreach Center, 96282 Brady Point Rd., Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 with Pastor Robert Goyette officiating. Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.
