Faith, family, friends, and volunteerism best describes Donald James Williams, age 69, who passed away June 16, at St. Johns Hospital in Oxnard with son Todd at his bedside. Don courageously fought a bone marrow cancer since January. Don had a contagious smile, a deep radio voice, great sense of humor and loved his many friends. He gave generously of his time to his community where he lived since 1985. During those years Don was on the Ventura Grand Jury 2012-2014, a Volunteer in Policing since 2010, 25 year Ventura YMCA volunteer and Board Chairman for 1 year, member of the Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters International, and Business Networking International. Ventura Bible Fellowship was his church home for 20 years.
Don's most important legacy is that of his three beloved children: Jamie Lynne, 29; Todd Robert, 28; and Randall James, 25. He is also survived by his beloved fiance, Deborah Sanders, a brother Robert , niece Debra, and cousins Paula, Gail, Linder, Denny and his wife Jane
Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services for Don Saturday June 27, 2015 at 10am in The River Community Church, Santa Clara Street Ventura. Interment will immediately follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME 757 E. Main Street Ventura.
