Charlton- James Frederick Esslinger, Jr., 65, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 surrounded by his family.
James leaves his two children; Jonathan D. Esslinger and his wife Jean of Milford, and Christine E. wife of Michael Kane, Sr. of New Hampshire; three grandchildren: Allison, Michael Jr. and Julianna Kane, his sister Jane Thornton and her husband Jeffrey of Charlton, a brother John S. Esslinger of Charlton, many nieces and nephews including: Donna Warren and her husband James, Andrew Walker, Craig Morris, and Tim Thornton.
James was born in Bethesda, Maryland a son of the late James F. and Marie (Greco) Esslinger, Sr. He worked as a journalist for many years with the Worcester Telegram & Gazette as well as Worcester Magazine. James served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Calling Hours for James will be private. A Chapel Service will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at 2:00PM at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street Winchendon, MA.
