Obituary

Worcester - Napoleon G. Alarie,90, formerly of Hamilton St. died Friday, April 26 in Beaumont Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Northbridge after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 59 years Annette I. (Pellerin) Alarie of Worcester. A son Donald G. Alarie of Sturbridge; A daughter Janet T. Beauchemin of Millbury; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Alarie was born in Worcester son of Cleophas and Stephanie (Coderre) Alarie.

Mr. Alarie is a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy.

He owned and operated the former Tower House Restaurant in Cherry Valley for 21 years. He later was an employee for the State of Massachusetts Department of Environmental Resources and was also the supervisor for all of the skating rinks and pools in the state.

Mr. Alarie was a member of St. Joseph's Church. He was also a member of the Royal Archunam and the American Legion Post #443 in Cherry Valley. Mr. Alarie toured as a professional wrestler when he was a young man.

The funeral will be held on Monday April 29 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church Hamilton St.. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Sunday April 28 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the UMASS Memorial Foundation for Diabetes Research, Four Biotech Sutie 315, 377 Plantation Street Worcester, MA 01605.
